HBJ Gateley has been the title sponsor of one of Edinburgh’s highest profile events, SportsQuest, for 15 years which through the charity, The HBJ Gateley Trust, has raised in excess of £1million for the Edinburgh Headway Group charity and Children’s Aid (Scotland) Ltd .

Funds raised at this annual black tie dinner are split, with half of the money raised by the SportsQuest event going to Edinburgh Headway Group, a local charity that provides a rehabilitation centre for head injured patients and support for their families. They offer a range of therapeutic and rehabilitative activities which span the spectrum from physical fitness to social activities.

The other half of the funds raised on the night go to Children’s Aid (Scotland) Ltd which distributes money to deserving causes to help provide vital equipment and services to a large range of children’s charities in Scotland, for example Capability Scotland, The Scottish Society for Autism, Epilepsy Association of Scotland and many paediatric hospitals.

HBJ Gateley Partner David Kirchin says: ‘The first thing that impresses about these charities is the dedication and enthusiasm of the people who run the organisations. Their work has grown and now helps transform the lives of people in many ways – thanks in part to our continued support.
