Alan is a Partner in the Scottish real estate department and energy & climate change team. His areas of expertise include renewable energy, mining & minerals and real estate.
Alan acts for developers, community groups and landowners in onshore wind, solar and hydro projects (ROCs and FiTs), opencast coal and quarry sites.
He also deals with disposals, acquisitions, leasing and development.
Alan is a member of the the Law Society of Scotland and is a Notary Public.
Acted for Burcote Wind in relation to development of a portfolio of wind energy sites.
Acted for ABO Wind regarding wind sites in the UK.
Acted for British Telecom regarding a quarry site in England.
Acted for community energy developers in wind sites.
Acted for Mapeley Estates in relation to a portfolio of office properties.
Alan enjoys family, running (especially endurance and hill) and football (St Johnstone). He also enjoys travel, baseball and malt whisky.
