Andrew has over 20 years' experience advising on corporate and banking transactions and is regularly involved in complex structured finance and corporate lending transactions, including leveraged buy-outs, project finance and commercial lending.
As well as major transactions, Andrew is also involved in debt restructuring, including advising on debt for equity transactions and property participations. Andrew's clients include many of the leading banks and financial institutions operating in the UK as well as private equity houses and corporate borrowers.
Andrew also acts on ABL transactions and has extensive experience of cross-border and syndicated lending.
Advising Bank of Scotland on the funding of £78 million ($64 million) acquisition of Dermapet Inc by Dechra Pharmaceuticals plc.
Advising Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets on funding the IBO of Summit Medical and Tensator Holdings, two leveraged transactions led by Riverside Private Equity involving acquisitions of businesses with significant overseas operations, requiring consideration of security and intercreditor issues across Europe, the America's and Gulf states.
Advising Yorkshire Bank on the funding of Kinetics Group, a buy and build vehicle established by Sovereign Capital, including a series of acquisitions.
Advising Titan Europe plc on €120 million facilities for its Italian subsidiaries and £15 million facilities in the UK.
Advising Atmosclear SA, a Swiss based investor, on the funding arrangement for a wood pellet plant in Latvia. The transaction involved senior and mezzanine finance provided from funding from Luxembourg based bio-energy funds and complex security structures involving a number of jurisdictions.
Advising Bank of Scotland on restructuring of facilities provided to a national healthcare business, including amendment and restatement of facilities and the issue to the bank of an equity warrant in the borrower.
Advising Aurum Group on the restructuring of its bank facilities, including debt for equity transactions with its funders, re-scheduling of facilities and intercreditor issues.
Advising HSBC Bank on the refinancing of Busy Bees Group to buy-back sponsor debt.
Andrew supports Birmingham City FC and Warwickshire CCC. He also enjoys golf, skiing, the theatre, ballet and the odd bit of gardening. He also likes good food, fine wine and beer but not necessarily in that order!
