Iain heads the firm’s real estate litigation team in Birmingham.
Iain has over 24 years' litigation experience. He is a member of the Property Litigation Association and is a Director of the Birmingham Conservation Trust.
For the last 20 years, he has specialised in real estate litigation and has a recognised expertise in dealing with landlord and tenant issues.
Acted for the successful party in the widely reported Court of Appeal decision of Orchard Developments -v- Reuters, which involved a disputed break notice, and is currently dealing with a contractual notice dispute in the Court of Appeal for BT Property.
Over the last three years, he has been instructed on a significant number of high value dilapidations cases and several high value rent review cases, acting for both commercial landlords and commercial tenants.
Acts regularly for BT Property, Lafarge Aggregates Limited, Mucklow and Calthorpe Estates.
Iain plays in a gigging rock n' roll band. He is a bit of a history geek and loves visual, auditory and performance arts. He excersises regularly and is a fan of fine food and drink.
