Jonathan heads the commerce technology and media team in Manchester. He specialises in intellectual property, information technology, commercial agreements and competition law, handling both contentious and non-contentious matters for local, national and multi-national businesses.
He is known for acting for "high tech" businesses and was for many years a member of BIONOW, the North West Development Agency’s steering group on biotechnology. He has acted for a number of consortia of North West Universities and colleges on their IT infrastructure.
Jonathan consistently ranks in the top tier of Chambers leading individuals for IP in the North West and has also been recommended by the Legal 500 in respect of EU and UK competition law.
Successfully handled a number of high value disputes relating to defective IT systems.
Jonathan enjoys playing tennis, hill walking and skiing. He also enjoys playing the violin.
