Who are Gateleys?

We are a major UK corporate and commercial law firm that operates across the country and overseas. You will find a wide-range of information about the firm, its partners and its activities in the different sections of this website.

Where does the firm operate?

We are based in the UK where we have eight offices. We also have an office in Dubai in the UAE.

How are the different offices structured?

We are an LLP (Limited Liability Partnership) headquartered in Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh, which also house our largest offices with around 240 people in Birmingham, 180 in Manchester and over 140 people in Edinburgh. We have around 30 people in our Glasgow and Leicester offices, around 40 people in Nottingham and 45 people in London. We also have 5 people in Leeds and 3 people in Dubai. We are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Law Society of Scotland and the Financial Services Authority.

What are the firm's practice areas?

We operate in all commercial fields, specifically corporate and corporate recovery, commercial, retail and telecoms, real estate and construction, public sector, private client, shipping & transport and dispute resolution and litigation. A detailed list of our service areas can be found on this website. Supporting the legal departments of the firm are a range of support functions including finance, HR, IT, marketing and admin.

Can I inspect a list of partners?

A full list of partners and directors for each of the firm's LLPs are available to inspect at our offices at One Eleven, Edmund Street, Birmingham, B3 2HJ, at Ship Canal House, 98 King Street, Manchester, M2 4WU and at Exchange Tower, Canning Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8EH.
