Andrew is head of the Commercial team in the Corporate department in Scotland. He is a very experienced commercial lawyer and is also a Notary Public.
Andrew is very experienced in general transactional corporate work (acquisitions, disposals, buy-outs and equity investments) and commercial contracts of a wide variety.
He also has significant experience in advising on intellectual property matters (particularly in the context of deals or commercial contracts) and UK and EU competition law issues. Specific interest in assisting high growth businesses, often but not exclusively in the technology sector.
Andrew is a member of the Merchant Company of Edinburgh and director at Leith Chamber of Commerce.
Acts for FNZ (UK) Limited (a major wrap technology and related services provider) in relation to the negotiation of complex services, IP licensing and development agreements with a number of major life companies and banks in the UK.
Acted for FNZ (UK) Limited in the coordination and execution of its global group reorganisation exercise involving multi jurisdictional legal issues across the UK, New Zealand, Australia, the Czech Republic and the Cayman Islands.
Acted for management in a major international buy out of a financial services business involving complex structuring and cross border issues.
Acted for the main shareholders of Divex Limited in the sale of the company to James Fisher Marine Services Limited.
