Expertise
David’s work varies across corporate and commercial work. His time is spent advising on transactional corporate matters including advising on start-ups, equity investments, business/share purchases and business/share sales and general commercial and non-contentious Intellectual Property advice. He has a particular focus on private equity / venture capital work into technology and IP focused companies. David is a Notary Public.
In winter 2011/2012 David was seconded to Topaz Energy and Marine in Dubai where he worked with the in-house team in relation to the UK aspects of the multi-jurisdiction reorganisation of its international oilfield services business.
Successes
Provided commercial legal advice to FNZ (UK) Limited in relation to the negotiation of its services, IP licensing and development agreements with a variety of major life companies, fund managers and banks in the UK.
Advised Par Equity LLP on investments by the syndicate of angel investors advised by them and Par Innovation Fund 1 LP in to various technology focused private companies.
Advised Head Resourcing Limited on the implementation of an Enterprise Management Incentive scheme and various share capital transactions.
Acted for FNZ (UK) Limited in the coordination and execution of its global group reorganisation exercise involving multi-jurisdictional legal issues across the UK, New Zealand, Australia, the Czech Republic and the Cayman Islands
Advised the management shareholders in the acquisition of Sunseeker International (Holdings) Limited by Portofino Yacht Investments Limited (an investment vehicle backed by FL Partners, Souter Investments and others).
