Expertise

Philip has extensive experience across a broad spectrum of banking and finance matters. In addition to handling a wide range of corporate banking and acquisition finance work, he has particular expertise in leasing and asset finance together with consumer credit work. He spent a number of years in-house at HSBC Asset Finance where he was involved in numerous specialist areas, particularly in relation to motor finance at manufacturer, dealer and retail levels.

Experience

Philip's background in asset finance work has led him to handle ship finance and Islamic finance transactions as well. In addition, he has experience of documenting novel financial arrangements in connection with tax planning schemes.

Acted for a bank on a high profile development project involving significant grant funding.

Acted for West Ham United in connection with its bid to secure use of the Olympic Stadium.

Acted for a bank in connection with the restructuring of development facilities of £18 million.

Acted for a lessor in connection with a £30 million lease of studio equipment.

Acted for a finance company in connection with security being granted by an Italian parent company.

Interests

Philip enjoys music playing both the violin and viola. He also enjoys photography and motor racing but only as a spectator!
