Rick has over 10 years' experience acting on banking and corporate finance related transactions. He has experience in a very broad range of work acting for financial institutions and on shore and off shore borrowers of all sizes.

Experience

Rick is regularly involved in complex structured finance, real estate development and investment finance, secured finance and restructuring related work. In addition, Rick also advises on bond and surety related financing.

His clients include many UK clearing banks, private banks, other leading financial institutions and various bond and surety providers.

Successes

Advised Bank of Scotland Plc on the £410 million refinancing of Peel Holdings Plc's landmark 'Mediacity' development in Salford where the BBC are to relocate many of their departments to from around the UK and where Salford University are to also become an anchor tenant.

Advised a syndicate of HSBC Bank Plc, Lloyds TSB Bank Plc (lead bank) and Yorkshire Bank on a £75 million funding facility to Daisy Group Plc to enable it undertake a series of acquisitions.

Advised two syndicates consisting of The Royal Bank of Scotland Plc and HSBC Bank Plc and separately advising NM Rothschild & Sons Limited all in relation to the funding of Bluemantle Group.

Advised a UK company which owns in excess of 500 residential properties, has secured borrowings from ten different financial institutions and secured debts in excess £60 million on a strategic restructuring plan and its implementation.

Interests

Rick enjoys watching and participating in many sports and is a season ticket holder at Manchester City FC. He coaches a team at Manchester Rugby Club and also occasionally still plays!!
