Simon is head of the litigation department in Scotland and solicitor advocate who specialises in commercial contractual and insolvency disputes. He regularly handles complex and high value cases in both Sheriff Court and the Court of Session.
Simon's clients range from insolvency practitioners, banks and public limited companies to small privately owned companies and partnerships. As well as his expertise in insolvency, Simon has particular experience in the property and energy sectors.
Acted for an oil services company in a series of disputes relating to a rig contract with a total value of over $100 million.
Acted for the administrator of an electrical components company in the recovery of £550,000.
Advised a director and principal shareholder of a large property company in respect of his rights and obligation in relation to the restructuring of the company.
Acting for the administrators of a bakery in respect of a warranty claim with a value of £750,000.
