William has nearly 30 years experience of business restructurings, re-financings, rescues and turnaround. He specialises in advising the management of public and private companies where there is some form of financial or organisational under-performance or difficulty.
William regularly advises banks, asset based and other lenders at a senior level.
He is a past president of the UK Insolvency Lawyers' Association, a fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and Yorkshire region council member.
Over the years, William has acted on numerous high profile restructurings and insolvencies such as the ground breaking Parkside Industries Group, CardWorld, Furness Withy Shipping, Morris Properties, Fox Hayes Solicitors, Barretts & Stylo Shoes, Powerfuel Mining and he advises the Technical Section of the UK Insolvency Service.
At 50+ years, William remains a decent skier, an enthusiastic if hopeless golfer and an occasional scuba diver. He also finds time for his family, wine, whisky and motor racing.
